Turkey Burger and Chips

Turkey Burger and Chips served with tomatoes, onions and an oyster sauce.

Ingredients
  • 2 Turkey Burgers - minced
  • 1 Red Onion - sliced
  • 1 Clove garlic - crushed
  • 100 g Tomatoes on the vine or cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 tbsp Oyster Sauce or a Black Bean sauce
  • 2 Rooster potatoes - chipped
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Rapeseed Oil
Instructions
  1. Heat a non stick pan. Add the oil, onion and garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the turkey burgers. Cook each side for approx 2 minutes each side. Add the tomatoes - whole.
  3. Cook for a further 3-4 minutes each side until the turkey burgers are cooked through. Mix 2 tsp of Oyster or Black Bean sauce with a little hot water in a cup. Pour over the onions and tomatoes. Allow to reduce and thicken into a sauce.
  4. Homemade Chips
  5. Preheat the oven or airfryer to 180 / 200 °
  6. Peel and chip the potatoes.
  7. Par boil in salted boiling water for about 5 mnutes
  8. Remove, drain and pat dry the chips.
  9. Place the chips in a baking tray - drizzle 1 tsp oil over the chips. Season with sea salt & ground black pepper. You could also use garlic pepper or any herbs to season.
  10. Bake for approx 10-15 minutes, turning the chips at the half way point.
